It is a time to say thank you for the massive contributions that volunteers make to services and individuals across the Royal Borough of Greenwich.
Volunteering has not only benefits to services but to individual (read our volunteering FAQs) and after an extraordinary year we have seen the full effects that volunteering has in the Royal Borough of Greenwich.
A message from the Mayor of Greenwich (Counsellor Denise Hyland)
Volunteers have made a massive contribution to services during the pandemic from delivering shopping and medication to befriending people who were shielding and isolated to ensuring borough organisations have been able to continue during these difficult times.
Volunteer have also made it possible to run vaccination sites across the borough allowing sites to be open more days of the week and more hours, which wouldn't be possible without the help of the many residents volunteering their time.
