Recognition Awards 2026

Your volunteers give their time freely, and the difference they make to your organisation, the community and to their own lives does not go unnoticed. We like to take a moment during Volunteers' Week (1–7 June) to recognise our committed volunteers, through our annual Recognition 100 and 250 Awards, supported by the Mayor of Greenwich.

Do you have a volunteer who deserves recognition?

The deadline to nominate a volunteer for an award is 11th May 2026.

You can nominate members for both awards.

Nominations for 2026 are now OPEN

Recognition 100 Hours - Postal Award

This award is for volunteers who have completed 100 or more hours with your organisation. Members can nominate up to 10 volunteers.

Each nominated volunteer will receive a pack by post during Volunteers' Week (1–7 June 2026), containing:

  • A personal thank you letter from the Worshipful the Mayor of the Royal Borough of Greenwich

  • A certificate of achievement

  • A Recognition 100 pin badge

Nominate a volunteer for the Recognition 100 Award

Recognition 250 Hours - Award Ceremony

This special award is for volunteers who have contributed 250 or more hours to your organisation. Members can nominate up to 2 volunteers.

Nominated volunteers are invited to an afternoon ceremony during Volunteers' Week, with awards presented by the Mayor of the Royal Borough of Greenwich. Each volunteer may bring one guest, and line managers receive an automatic invitation.

Afternoon tea and prosecco are provided for all guests, and our celebrated volunteers will receive:

  • A certificate of achievement

  • A Recognition 250 pin badge

  • A photograph with the Mayor

  • A framed print to take home

Friday 5 June 2026, Mycenae House, 90 Mycenae Road, Blackheath, London SE3 7SE
