From open days to celebration events, every year hundreds of online and in-person activities take place across the UK to mark Volunteers’ Week and celebrate volunteers. Volunteers' Week 2026 is being held between 1st - 7th June, when Volunteer Centre Greenwich will join thousands of charities and voluntary organisations in recognising the contribution volunteers make across the UK.

During the week we're running a series of roadshows, why not come along and find out how you can get involved:

• Monday 1st June 10am - 4pm, General Gordon Square next to the Woolwich DLR.  See what volunteer roles are on offer, grab a goody bag and ask any questions
• Tuesday 2nd June, join us at the Nest in Thamesmead from 12.00 - 4.00pm at our Volunteering Fair where you can see what volunteering roles lots of organisations have on offer
• Wednesday 3rd June, come to Passey Place in Eltham from 10am - 1pm and speak to someone about getting involved in volunteering 
• Saturday 8th - join us at Plumstead Make Merry, 12.00 - 6.00pm on Plumstead Common
